The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679
The GDPR is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU. The GDPR primarily aims to give citizens and residents control over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulations within the EU.
What is “personal data”?
Personal data is data that relates to a person who can be identified from the data itself or in combination with other information that Investix holds or is likely to hold. - Data must be adequate and relevant and not excessive for the purpose for which it was collected or further processed.
- Data must not be kept longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
- Appropriate security measures must be implemented to prevent unauthorized access or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of the data, particularly if the processing involves the transmission of data over a network and against any other unlawful processing methods. Investix applies the most suitable physical and technical measures, including employee training and awareness, and these are regularly reviewed.
- We are duty-bound to ensure that our customers do not suffer harm or hardship, such as the release of inaccurate information or the sharing of personal data with unauthorized parties.
